Great kit, very easy to use, once you have got it in your head what you need to do and the order to do it the actual bleeding took all of five minutes per brake.
All ok. I still have some pressure trouble so gonna follow some advice on a forum. Kit and instructions were clear
A great alternative on a budget. Would recommend
The kit and instruction were extremely good. The kit worked made bleeding the brakes a simple single person process.
A very good piece of kit, simple instructions that are easy to follow, even for me!....once done it made a lot of difference to my brakes, can highly recommend this product, such a great price for fantastic kit.
Kit arrived nice and quick. I've never bled a set of mtb brakes before but followed the instructions and was really easy. Great bit of kit, would recommend to anyone
Could be given an option of different instructions as my shimano brakes were slightly different
Works as promised, value for money. Appreciate the addition of the brake pad wedge. Nice bonus.
I have always been put off bleeding brakes myself after various failed attempts but I have to say with this kit and the detailed easy to follow online instructions it was a straight forward process. Would defiantly recommend this product.
Unfortunately at this time we do not sell this item separately. Sorry.
Is there enough brake fluid for both front and rear brakes? Also can I reuse this kit?We supply 50ml of Shimano Mineral Oil with each Shimano Bleed Kit, this is enough to bleed both front and rear brakes once. If your brake fluid is old and discoloured we recommend flushing the brake lines through twice to replace all old fluid with new, in this case a second bottle of Shimano Mineral Oil will be necessary.
All of our bleed kits are totally reusable as long as they are cared for and properly cleaned after each use. However eventually you may need to replace the syringe/s with new. These are available in our Spares section
How easy is it to clean the kit after each use?Very easy. When dealing with mineral oil we recommend flushing the kit with clean water and wiping with isopropyl alcohol wipes. Be sure the kit is thoroughly dry before your next bleed. Take a look at our Cleaning Guide for more info.
Does this come with the Yellow Bleed Block spacer? Or do I need to get one?Unfortunately our bleed kits are not supplied with bleed blocks/piston spacers. If you remove the pads from the calliper during the bleed process (recommended) you will need an object to insert between the pistons to stop them from moving outwards when the brake lever is operated.
Take a look at our Bleed Block Kit or our online guide explaining how to make your own.
Is it possible to leave the wheel on whilst bleeding? With the rotor in place? You can do it this way, it's certainly quicker and easier. However we recommend removing the pads from the calliper, resetting the pistons and using a bleed block instead to protect the pads from brake fluid spillages.
Also by not resetting the pistons you run the risk of over-filling the brake system with brake fluid if your pads are part worn. This will make changing your brake pads tricky in the future.
