DIY BRAKE BLEEDING - MADE EASY!
I wanted something in order to take my 2018 revs apart to get at the tokens. This fits like a glove and enabled me to get to the tokens in no time. A couple of minutes later and I’ve put them back and all is sorted. Simple but effective.
I've rounded off fork top caps before, this tool prevents that.
Fit the topcap perfectly and didn't mark it when undoing.
Gets the job done with minimal risk of damage to the top cap. You get the 6 sided connection without grinding down a socket wrench or buying the expensive fox option. Just make sure you get the right size, recommend measuring the top cap before ordering, I initially got the wrong size for my Fox Rhythm 34 fork as it had the same size as the regular Fox 32.
After purchasing this a while ago I got to use it for the first time whilst servicing my Reba's. There's not a lot to say other than it worked perfectly and left no markings on the black coated nuts at the top of the air and damper tubes. It looks like it will last forever as the fit is perfect, so no gradual rounding of the tool or your top cap nuts.
I use this on my 36’s and it’s spot on. No rounding of the edges of the nut. It’s great not to have to find the adjustable spanner or socket set which aren’t as good. My biggest issue is tracking it down as a mate has usually borrowed it!
Really good tools. Looks smart and the ideal size to not slip and scratch my forks
Excellent flat edged spanner. Works brilliantly and leaves no marks on the alloy.
Good quality and fit - did the job well.
Exactly what is needed for out on a ride with fox factory 36s, fits in your bag and you don’t even know it’s thrre!
Great idea, but on a Fox 36 the outside of the spanner is a bit too wide, so it scratches paint off the top of the crown. It's not a deal breaker, but I'll be sanding down the outside of the spanner by a mm, it's only that much - but on a £1000 fork it looks a bit pants when you've got a circular scratch!
Well worth the money. Prevents you doing any damage to your expensive forks when servicing it.
Great, does the job. Looks cool on the workbench, but £12 for a bit of laser cut Aluminium feels a bit steep. But better than rounding your forks.
This works far better than using a socket that then marks or slips off the air chamber nut. Takes up no room in the tool bag.
Really good selection of top cap specific spanners. Much easier than rounding the heads off with a socket. I got the full set, as I've got a range of forks that are different sized. So far only used on my 2014 Pikes to add tokens, worked perfectly.
Great addition to my toolbox. Lightweight but sturdy. Fits perfectly with no slippage so no rounding off of corners on the nut. Makes home maintenance on the front forks much easier. Recommended
Does exactly what it's meant to.
It was very difficult to get hold of a socket that would fit my Fox fork. This fitted well without any movement. Spacers are now fitted without any dramas.
Light precision engineering. This works just fine. Bought for a one off use only as installing a MRP ramp control.
Great tool for removing the air cap on my Rockshox Pike and Lyrik forks.
I originally used a socket but its easy to slip and round off the edges off the cap. this tool is a perfect fit with no chance of rounding off the cap.
Good spanner that!
A lot cheaper than sockets and did the job as needed. Strong and was easy to use. Undid fork nut with no grief. Don't risk rounding off use one of these.
Initially I was skeptical how a tool this light could withstand the torque levels required to loosen and tighten the air-shaft bolt. The precision fit was reassuring and it held and successfully unscrewed the factory tightened air-shaft bolt without snapping the spanner. Couldn't believe it does work ! Tightening it back was a doodle too.
This tool is good quality, and provided at a reasonable price. Like that a range of sizes are available which is good if you want to fill the gaps in your tool set. I initially struggled to find a suitable tool for taking the cap off of my Rockshox Pike in order to put bottomless tokens in. (I initially bought the official rockshox one which was about twice the price, and it was sent in poor condition / used by the shop-Mark Anthony Bikes - avoid these guys).
The colour on these tools looks fantastic! I am tempted to get the full set even though I may not need them, it would be a nice to have.
The fact that the tool is designed (I believe) to engage all the edges of the cap, reduces the edge stress on the cap (and tool) which helps in taking the cap off without causing any damage. I like this a lot. Forks are expensive.
Condition, delivery and service were excellent and I bought a few more items while I was here. Will use this site again for sure, and would like to see a few more tools available (whilst keeping the focus on quality).
